Directions

Getting to the MRC Cancer Unit

The MRC Cancer Unit is located within the Hutchison/MRC Research Centre on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, approximately two miles south of the centre of Cambridge. A downloadable map of our location can be found below.

Bicycle:

The Cambridge Biomedical Campus is linked to the rest of the city by a large number of designated paths and cycle lanes. The main road routes leading to the Campus all have dedicated lanes as well as off road paths along at least some of their length. The Unit has covered cycle racks located in a convenient, well-lit, and secure, area next to our building.

The Cambridgeshire County Council website provides detailed information on cycle routes in and around the city.

Bus:

The Campus is well served by public transport and around 60 buses visit the site each hour during the week, many travelling via the city centre and the railway station. The bus station is around a 5 minute walk from our building. Further information about bus timetables can be found on the Cambridgeshire County Council website.

The Campus is also linked to three of Cambridge's Park and Ride sites. Buses from the Milton, Babraham Road, and Trumpington sites all current stop at the main bus station on the campus. Further information can be found here.

The Huntingdon to Trumpington guided busway service runs from Monday to Saturday. This provides a direct, traffic-free route between the Trumpington Park & Ride, the Campus, and Cambridge railway station. There are several stops around the site, and the closest to our building is located by Addenbrooke's Hospital's outpatients department. Further information on the guided busway can be found here.

Taxi:

A taxi will take between 5 to 15 minutes from the centre of town or the railway station, depending on traffic. Please ensure your driver is aware that the Unit is located within the Hutchison/MRC Research Centre building.

Car:

A limited number of parking spaces are available in front of our building for visitors. If you are visiting someone in the Unit and intend to drive, please ensure that they have reserved a parking space for you.
